Description

Clay sculpture.

Rather than being caught by the lust-stricken Apollo, Daphne flees and implores Zeus (or in another version of the myth, her father, some river god--there happened to be a river at the scene) to save her. She is promptly turned into a laurel tree, and Apollo is left a touch dejected, Daphne being his first crush and all. :)
