Description
Clay sculpture, inspired of course by that Goya painting.
Before Zeus, the king of the Greek gods was Cronus, a fiersome and cruel deity that heard tell of a prophecy that a son of his would defeat him and become the new head honcho. So, he made his wife Rhea give him any child birthed of them so he could eat it in the hopes of thwarting the prediction. Rhea saves one of her children by wrapping a stone up in swaddling clothes and presenting it to Cronus to devour; elsewhere, she and some nymphs raised Zeus, who would eventually overthrow Cronus with the help of deities vomited up by Cronus.
Wonky, eh?
